My experience with Wrigley Claydon was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I paid this firm to provide professional legal advice and protect my interests when purchasing my property, but I feel they failed to do so.
During the conveyancing process they raised other issues, including land boundary concerns and gas certificates for a replacement boiler. However, despite the TA6 Property Information Form stating “Not Known” regarding Japanese knotweed, I do not believe I received the advice or warnings that such an important issue deserved. In my view, this should have prompted further enquiries before I completed my purchase.
When I later discovered the issue and raised my concerns, I felt the response was to suggest that I should have obtained my own survey. That is not why I instructed solicitors. I paid for professional legal advice to help identify risks and protect my interests throughout the purchase.
Communication after completion was extremely poor. I repeatedly requested copies of my file, despite paying for them, and when I finally received the documents, several pages appeared to be missing. This only increased my concerns and frustration.
I also found that whenever I tried to progress my complaints, key members of staff, including Sadia Rahman, Mohammed Hussain and Ruksana, were unavailable due to annual leave or other absences. From my perspective, this left me feeling that my complaints were being avoided rather than properly addressed.
I have lost all confidence in this firm. I have been advised to raise awareness of my experience and intend to contact the relevant complaints bodies and the media so that others are aware of what I believe happened in my case.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wrigley Claydon. If you are purchasing a property, make sure you ask questions, obtain independent advice where appropriate, and ensure all potential risks are fully investigated before you proceed
This matter deserves media attention. In my opinion, the issues I experienced during my property purchase have had a significant financial and emotional impact on me. I intend to share my experience with consumer journalists and the appropriate authorities so that others are aware and can make informed decisions. I believe greater public awareness of these issues is important.

My experience with Wrigley Claydon Solicitors has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I have ever had when purchasing a property.
As a first-time buyer, I relied on my solicitors to identify and advise me on important risks and issues affecting the property. Unfortunately, after completion, serious issues came to light, including the presence of Japanese knotweed, which have caused significant financial loss, stress, anxiety and uncertainty.
I feel that key risks affecting the property were not adequately brought to my attention during the conveyancing process. Had I been properly informed of these risks and their potential impact, I would have been able to make a fully informed decision before proceeding with the purchase.
What has been particularly frustrating is the lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, I have been left feeling that responsibility is being shifted onto me and that I should have carried out further investigations myself. This is despite the fact that I instructed professional conveyancing solicitors specifically to guide me through the process and advise me on legal risks associated with the property.
I have spent countless hours trying to obtain answers, reviewing documents and seeking legal advice regarding matters that I believe should have been properly addressed during the transaction. The stress and financial consequences have been substantial.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this firm for residential conveyancing. I strongly encourage anyone considering using their services to carefully review all documentation themselves, ask extensive questions and seek independent advice where necessary before committing to a property purchase.
Very disappointed with the service received.
View this review on GoogleVery poor service. During my purchase, enquiries were raised about the property’s radon risk and the missing boiler certification, yet no enquiries were made with me regarding Japanese knotweed, despite it later becoming a major issue. I believe I was not properly advised about this significant risk, and it has caused me financial loss and considerable distress. I have submitted formal complaints and would encourage anyone buying a property to obtain independent specialist advice and ensure all material risks are thoroughly investigated before proceeding.
View this review on GoogleJust bought a property under a limited company, took a little longer than anticipated but got there at the end after alot of pressure from the other sale of the chains.
Sana Ahmad was very professional always in contact giving updates as things progressed and went out of her way to get the completion done in time. Can recommend for domestic and commercial Conveyancing.
Thank you to Sana and her team at Wrigley Claydon 🙏
View this review on GoogleThe worst company I've ever dealt with.
I spoke with them on the phone as I had a previous problem with a solicitors as they couldn't do the building because it was a BSA flat. After speaking with Wrigley Claydon they said they could do flat's that's there are over 6 floors.
During the 12 week wait, they wouldn't answer the phone once, every time I called they put me through to an answer phone. No one want's to speak to anyone. I tried to speak to them on many occasions.
After the 12 weeks, they then turn around and say they can't do work on BSA flats. 12 weeks of my time wasted. I would avoid using Wrigley Claydon when carrying out searches etc, the service they provided was shocking. After having everything taken over, it looks like very little was completed within the 12 weeks.
I am now using Setfords and it's like chalk and cheese in the level of service provided.
