Solicitor Reviews - Verification Process
Only law firms that have been through our manual review process earn the Verified Law Firm badge
The Review Process
Law firms that subscribe to a Superior or Marketing Pro listing are reviewed by hand before they receive the Verified Law Firm badge, and are reviewed again periodically while their subscription runs. A firm that fails any part of the review does not receive the badge.
Listings shown as Unverified have not been through this process. They were checked against the Solicitors Regulation Authority register when they were added to the directory, but we have not reviewed their reputation or contact details and we do not re-check them, so please confirm a firm's details with the firm itself and on the SRA register before instructing it.
The star rating and reviews shown on an unverified listing are copied from Google when it is added to the directory: Google's overall rating, its review total and up to five of the reviews Google ranks as most relevant. We do not collect, check or edit them.
1. SRA Record Analysis
To earn the badge a firm must have a valid Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) record and an SRA number that is visible on the SRA website. A firm without a valid SRA record is not verified.
2. Reputation Check
We also look at the firm's online reputation to see whether previous clients have been satisfied with its service. Firms with low review scores or other concerning indicators are not verified.
3. Contact Details Check
If a firm's contact details, telephone numbers, office locations, website domain and email addresses do not match as expected, or show potential warning signs, the firm is not verified.
