That 1 star represents minus 1. Thoroughly disappointed with this firm - who suggested we had a chance to make a claim against an auditor who was cooking the books. Only to discover 6 months later and 30k lighter that no - an auditor only has a duty of care to their client. They can publish any fictitious accounts they like apparently. If this firm didn’t know this - then they didn’t know basic law and should have left our case alone. They then wanted another 36k to try another angle. No thank you. Take me for an idiot once but not twice. Had a zoom with them and the overall vibe was ‘smarmy’ and a tad condescending. Avoid like the plague. If they make specific claims- record conversations. Get it in writing. Get clear time frames. Or just find a more professional firm.
View this review on GoogleI was one of a group of investors who took advice and were encouraged to spend money pursuing a claim against accountants who had produced false accounts, which were part of our due diligence. Unfortunately we were told after spending the money that such a claim would never have worked as there is no duty of care to the public or investors.
Felt badly let down that this is not what they told us in the first place.
View this review on GoogleDisgraceful. I was part of a group of investors who were misled by marketing materials about a company we invested in. T&H was near certain we had a case and suggested it could be wrapped up in 4 months.
Instead, it took almost a year for them to burn through the bulk of the retainer we raised, only to discover - nope, the auditors had no liability whatsoever!
My 5 year old could have Googled that and admittedly, that's what we should have done before entrusting our time and money to T&H.
