This statement reflects my personal experience. I provided only brief, general information about a workplace incident. I did not instruct the firm to act on my behalf and did not sign any agreement or authorisation, whether paper or electronic.
Despite this, the matter appeared to be treated as if representation had already been established, which caused confusion and concern. From my perspective, issues around consent and authority to act were not handled with sufficient clarity.
I am sharing this so others can make informed decisions and ensure that any engagement is clearly agreed and confirmed in writing before proceeding
View this review on GoogleI've been calling various personal injury firms on my mother-in-law's behalf. No-one else has flagged this as an issue - she's recovering from a severe injury and has no legal training (whereas I do). Thompson so far is the only firm that outright declined to speak to me, and worse yet, the lady I spoke to provided 0 justification when I pressed her on it. Would not recommend.
