Firstly a massive thank you to Alex Korko and Charlotte at Russell and Russell. your help, knowledge, professionalism and especially your support, for which we will be forever grateful.
Russell and Russell were recommended to us by Hills estate agent, We were wary of using an estate agents recommendation, but it turned out top be the best decision we made. Alex represented us in selling our property and buying our new home The selling part went very well but there were issues with the property we were buying, the sellers were not the best to deal with and there were also some other difficulties that had to be navigated. We can honestly say that without the help and support from Alex and Charlotte this could have turned out to be a nightmare. We felt like they had all the time in the world to talk through the issues and give us options when we thought there were none.
Considering the time and effort they put in (over a good few months) we thought what they charged was very, very good.
Pros, great service, very professional, brilliant people, absolutely superb value for money, Nothing was too much trouble, including phone calls to talk us through the processes or just answer what at times may have been simple/stupid questions.
Cons, simply nothing.
We very, very highly recommend Alex and his team at Russell and Russell.

Zoe was a fantastic communicator, responding to us efficiently and effectively. She really came through for us when the solicitors below in the chain were diabolical.

View this review on GoogleRussell and Russell were, without doubt, the most disappointing solicitors I have ever dealt with. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to think carefully before proceeding.
The entire process appeared poorly managed, with important tasks repeatedly left until the last minute, resulting in unnecessary stress and delays. There seemed to be little accountability when mistakes were made, and the level of customer service was extremely poor throughout.

View this review on GoogleWe used Russell & Russell for house purchase and sale of a property and my issues isn't necessarily with the company as a whole - I just had an awful experience with Alex Korko. Charlotte Cartmel I must say was very helpful when called upon, but she was only there to speak to because Alex never answered his phone.
On the day of receiving the quote, I tried to call Russell & Russell to talk through with them when we'd deciding to go with them (based on price) - but I never managed to get through to anyone even though I'd been allocated Alex. I had to email multiple times asking for Alex to give me a call which he did and was extremely rude and abrupt when speaking to me. He'd advised he was busy in the morning dealing with customers that were completing on that day and they were the priority. This reasoning is absolutely fine, however not at any point did I feel like a priority to Russell and Russell through out the whole process. That was 1 of only 2 phone calls I had with Alex over 10 months...
Fastforward to the end of the process which involved having to chase for simple information rather than being updated in a timely manor - all parties had agreed a completion date, but we didn't exchange contracts until 12pm the day before. Throughout that entire week Alex provided no reassurance or meaningful updates as to what was going on or whether we'd actually be moving house that week. It's an extremely stressful situation and Alex didn't do anything to help - so cannot recommend avoiding his services at all costs.
