This company caused me far more distress than help. While the customer service staff may have only been following procedures, the whole system felt designed to take advantage of people already struggling. There seemed to be no understanding, compassion or genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. I came away feeling pressured, helpless and completely duped.

I am writing this review to warn others about the highly unprofessional and legally questionable practices of Restons Solicitors.
This firm was instructed by Intrum to handle a historic debt matter, which resulted in a Default Judgment (CCJ) against me back in 2021. However, Restons fundamentally failed to adhere to basic Civil Procedure Rules (CPR Part 6) by serving the legal paperwork to a completely incorrect and incomplete address. They omitted my specific flat number and building name entirely, sending it to a generic address I did not lawfully reside at. As a direct result of their defective administrative work, I never received the claim, was denied the opportunity to defend myself, and had a completely incorrect linked address generated on my credit file.
The moment I discovered this irregular judgment, I formally challenged Restons on May 14, 2026, presenting clear, irrefutable documentary evidence of their defective service and the subsequent breach of data accuracy.
Instead of engaging professionally, investigating their clear compliance failures, or working to rectify the mess they created, Restons chose the most cynical route possible: they abruptly dropped the case. I received a response stating they are "no longer instructed" and have simply passed the file back to their client, Intrum.
By washing their hands of the matter the second their legal errors were exposed, Restons has forced me to start from scratch, wasting my time to liaise directly with Intrum to put the situation right. This is a abysmal way to conduct legal practice. They are happy to issue defective, damaging court paperwork, but completely lack the professional integrity to stand by their work or assist in resolving the errors they caused when held to account.
If you are dealing with Restons, check every single piece of paperwork they have filed. They rely on administrative negligence, and the moment you legally challenge them with hard evidence, they will run away from the file rather than fix their mistakes. Absolute lack of accountability.
View this review on GooglePerson I spoke to was nice enough but I thought if someone in debt you should listen and understand that, in this day and age, debt is a huge issue for some and causes mental health issues! To just keep saying, "this is your disposable income", doesn't mean I can afford! I have today received letter to advise I need to pay the full amount or set up a payment plan....plan set up when I spoke to them! This is also the first contact I have had from them and that is because I contacted them!!
