View this review on GoogleI had an awful service given from Coralie Phelan Prince Evans Solicitors, for what should’ve been a simple staircasing of my shared ownership property. Communication was poor throughout, and I had to repeatedly chase for updates rather than being kept proactively informed.
There was also a major mistake in the affordability calculations for my staircasing. Despite having gone through all my finances with my mortgage adviser and having a mortgage agreed in principle before instructing Prince Evans, I was told by Coralie that I couldn’t afford to staircase and buy the remaining share of my flat.
Because the work had been left until the last minute, I ended up having to go through Coralie’s calculations myself, identify the mistakes and explain to her where she had gone wrong. Her response was simply that she had been working with the information I provided, with no apology for the considerable stress this caused me!
I was paying for a professional service, so I expected better communication, attention to detail and proactive handling of my case. Overall, the experience was unnecessarily stressful and disappointing. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this firm. Avoid!

She dealt with a really complex matter for me involving the grant of a new lease following a surrender, with quite a few complications along the way. From the beginning, she was confident, clear in her advice, and always in control of the process.
She managed to get everything expedited without cutting corners, and kept things moving efficiently throughout. What could have been quite stressful actually felt straightforward because of how she handled it.
She also dealt with the rent deposit deed and licence to alter, making sure everything was properly documented and completed without any delays.
Professional, responsive, and very easy to deal with. If you want someone who knows exactly what they are doing and gets things done, Sarah Masson is a great choice.
