I am extremely disappointed with the service provided. My boyfriend has been in custody for almost five months, and throughout this time we have found the communication and support to be very poor. It has been incredibly difficult to get updates, and we often wait days or even weeks before being able to speak to his solicitor.
In such a serious situation, you expect clear guidance, regular communication, and reassurance that everything possible is being done. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. We have struggled to obtain direct contact details, and responses feel delayed and unhelpful.
My boyfriend has done everything asked of him while in custody to improve his chances of bail, but we do not feel supported or properly represented. This has been a very stressful and upsetting time for our family, and we expected a far more professional and proactive service.
