Very disappointing experience with Louis Kennedy Solicitors.
I initially contacted the firm regarding dependant visa applications for my wife and daughter and was told £300 per person. When I later contacted them to proceed, I was quoted £1,800, which was eventually reduced to £1,500 after discussion, and I made the payment.
When the applications were about to be submitted, I was then asked for my card details to pay another £648 in Home Office application fees. I immediately raised my concern and explained that I thought the amount I had already paid covered everything, as nobody had made it clear to me beforehand that the Home Office fees would be additional.
Before I made the additional Home Office payment, I raised all of these concerns with Mr Anil. He told me to proceed with the payment and submit the applications, and that I could contact the office afterwards regarding a partial refund. This convinced me to proceed with the additional payment.
When I later contacted the firm and requested the partial refund that had been discussed before I made the Home Office payment, they refused my request.
Another major concern was the advice I received about the applications themselves. My Skilled Worker occupation code is SOC 6135, and I was informed that there were restrictions on dependants under this occupation. However, during my discussions with the solicitor, I was also told that they had a 100% success rate with similar applications and that similar cases they had handled had been successful. This gave me confidence to proceed with the applications despite the restrictions.
Unfortunately, after paying £1,500 in professional fees plus £648 in Home Office fees, both my wife’s and daughter’s dependant visa applications were refused.
I subsequently raised my concerns formally with the firm, but they rejected my complaint and refused my request for a partial refund.
Based on my personal experience, I am extremely disappointed with the communication, transparency around the costs and the overall service I received. I would not use this firm again.

They were quick to take payment, but once the money was paid, getting a response became nearly impossible. Emails and calls were ignored for days, sometimes weeks, and important questions were left unanswered.
I constantly had to chase for updates and never felt like my case was being taken seriously. Professionalism and client care were clearly lacking. For something as important as legal matters, you expect transparency, responsiveness, and proper guidance — none of which I received here.
I would not recommend this firm to anyone looking for reliable legal support. Save your money.

I have also noticed they have been deleting reviews from their Google page to make them look better than they actually are.
