We cannot recommend Courtney Bowkett and her assistant, Jordan highly enough. Courtney acted as our solicitor for both the sale of our home and the purchase of our new property, and her service was absolutely faultless from start to finish.
They both kept us informed at every stage of both transactions, providing regular updates and clear communication throughout. They were professional, approachable, and always acted in our best interests. We particularly appreciated how determined and courageous Courtney was when dealing with the other side, ensuring our position was protected and helping the process move forward as smoothly as possible.

View this review on GoogleI am the son of the sellers of a property where these solicitors represented the buyer. Unfortunately since the sale, my dad passed away nearly 2 years ago and my mum has moved to a care home with dementia so I am looking after my mum's financial matters (as Attorney). On completion of the sale, upon request of these solicitors £5,000 was retained from their sale proceeds. It was agreed this sum would be returned (less any claims) plus an appropriate level of interest after an agreed period. There was a possible issue of a shared area and my dad informed me that these monies would be returned after 3 years. I contacted our solicitors who chased them after this time had elapsed. To my knowledge no response was received by my solicitors. If a reply had been sent it was not forwarded to me for consideration. My solicitor stated that 3 years was the agreed period but it could be extended to 5 years. After over 5 years and still no return of monies or communication, I chased again and belatedly they gave just the £5,000 back. No interest! Enraged by these actions and after chasing through my solicitors they gave my mum £240.55 interest for over 5 years! I considered this sum wholly unacceptable and sent them a formal complaint through email stating that. It took them over 8 weeks to reply to my solicitor. No further offer forthcoming but requesting ("before we are forced to escalate matters") this alleged "wholly inaccurate" review be removed. Sorry but everything to my knowledge is wholly accurate. Perhaps if you contact me and enlighten me on what is inaccurate and why, if I agree I will be happy to edit/remove my review.
View this review on GoogleI attempted to publish a much larger review about Ms Anna Tay-Lodge, but unfortunately it was too rude ! Which says a lot about what I was attempting to say. In short words, steer as far away as possible from this woman. How one person can be so disgusting and vile is shocking, I have not heard one good thing from previous clients or employees, who also have been driven out of Humfrys and Symonds, which is a shame as all of the other solicitors that people have encountered are fantastic, apart from one solicitor, Ms Anna Tay-Lodge, who is destroying the whole firm slowly, and losing employees and clients on the daily. Take this as a warning !
