Hired a solicitor to help sell my house in November 2025 due to a few disputes with me and my ex trying to sell so we needed two solicitors to communicate, the only thing I can say is trying to get hold of anyone dealing with my house sale from one week til the next was ridiculous, when paying a fee and getting a solicitor accounted to you you expect communication at least once a week for a update , I barely ever got anything and when I would ring the reception they could not get hold of neither Thomas or Jacob we completed in march 2026 and I think I had one phone call with them in between this time. Would not recommend if you wanted a fast communicative service .

It was a complicated sale (make difficult by the buyer solicitors unfortunately) but they were very experienced and efficient, 100% recommend. Particular mention to Tallulah who was fab, nothing was too much to ask for during the process.
View this review on GoogleClaire Waldren I have used before and I would again . There are some poor solicitor firms out there but Howard & Over are very good at replying to your emails and will always return your call which is so important in a house sale/purchase.

We always felt fully informed and confident that they were on top of things as the transactions progressed. Heather presented as knowledgeable, personable and approachable; she always made time to speak to us whenever we had any queries. We even managed to complete early on move day! They took much of the stress out of the conveyancing process and we recommend the team at Howard & Over without hesitation.

When other solicitors in the chain were falling behind, we could rely on Natalie and her team to chase the chain and push on to avoid delays. They were always responsive, proactive, and reassuring at every stage, even when things became stressful, we felt that we were in safe hands.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Howard & Over to anyone looking for a solicitor who combines efficiency with real care for their clients. We’re so grateful for everything they did to get us over the line and into our new home.
