I have worked with three different solicitors during my property searches and purchases in the UK, and Nicky Cummins has been by far the best.
Throughout the entire process, communication was excellent. She kept me informed at every stage, responded to questions promptly, and explained legal matters in a clear and understandable way. In a sector where waiting days or even weeks for a response can unfortunately be common, her responsiveness was genuinely refreshing.
What impressed me most was the quality of the advice provided. Rather than simply processing paperwork, she took the time to explain the implications of different issues and helped me make informed decisions throughout the transaction.
After experiencing multiple property purchases and failed transactions over the past year, I have a good basis for comparison, and the difference in service quality was obvious.
Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and highly responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor.

James W. handled both our sale and purchase. Our sale was complicated from start to finish, taking nearly five months to complete, and it became extremely stressful towards the end.
We couldn’t have done it without his incredible support, attention to detail, expert advice, and patience in answering our endless questions every day. Looking back, I know just how difficult the process was, and I’m certain we wouldn’t have managed it without him.
I would highly recommend James to anyone buying or selling a home. He went above and beyond for us and is simply the best.

View this review on GoogleI had a very poor experience with Harrisons Solicitors, especially as a first-time buyer. What should have been an exciting milestone quickly turned stressful due to their lack of transparency and poor client service.
From the outset, the documentation was unclear, and we encountered hidden fees that weren’t disclosed until after we had already paid the initial £450. When we raised concerns about the lack of clarity, and politely asked if there is anything that can be done, as we would not have chosen them, should the additional fees have been clear, the situation only got worse.
We were passed on to Julien, who was not only unhelpful but outright rude and dismissive. Rather than offering support or attempting to resolve our concerns, he focused on correcting the spelling of his name and was incredibly patronising throughout. His attitude was essentially: we're right, you're wrong and if you don't like it, go elsewhere. So after a lot of stress and upset we did move.
The communication and attitude of Julien was appalling.
Since switching solicitors, the difference has been night and day. Our new firm has been proactive, clear, and supportive throughout the process—highlighting just how poor Harrisons' service really was. The delays, lack of initiative, and poor communication at Harrisons were not just frustrating, they were completely avoidable.
I've also spoken with others who’ve had similarly negative experiences with Harrisons, including repeated delays, unprofessional email exchanges, and even confidential documents being sent to the wrong recipients.
Based on my experience (and that of others), I would not recommend Harrisons Solicitors to anyone.
