I have used this firm several times for family law matters. Nick was originally recommended to me by another lawyer, and I have absolutely no regrets about choosing him.
Throughout my case, we had some difficult conversations. While there were things I did not always want to hear, Nick always treated me with respect and kindness. I now realize these conversations were vital for managing my expectations, which proved incredibly important during hearings when I was unsure how the judge would perceive things.Going through legal proceedings was highly emotional for me. Nick was able to look past the emotion to focus strictly on the legal aspects, which he always explained to me carefully.
My only criticism is that when we initially discussed domestic abuse, I felt my experiences were not fully taken into account. However, as the case developed, Nick became deeply understanding and empathetic. Seeing that he truly understood the reality of my situation allowed me to build a much deeper trust in his work.
I also faced some complexities with accessing legal aid, but Minnie, who handled my application, was incredibly patient and helpful. I am forever grateful for how well she understood my situation. Even during times when the process must have been frustrating, she remained entirely calm and confident on my behalf.
I would highly recommend this firm!
View this review on GoogleHad mirror wills draw up through will aid charity and found the experience very straightfoward and well organised, a big thank you to christienne and the harland staff who were all friendly and professional.
View this review on GoogleI've had the pleasure of working with Harland & Co as a business contact over the years. They come across as professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to their clients. From my interactions, their team demonstrates strong expertise in their field and maintains high standards of service. A well-respected firm that clearly takes their work seriously.
View this review on GoogleA solicitors is a solicitors, and this is quite typical of that.
You can access 'Legal Aid' through Harland & Co, and what I wasn't aware of is that everyone is entitled to a free 1hr face-to-face with a lawyer.
From drawing up of wills, powers of attorney and other legal documents, to the storage of other documents, you can get it here.
If you're not here for general legal advice, they'll happily give you generic info - but once you get into the depths and minutiae of things, expect a bill proportionate to legal fees.
They're not the cheapest - which I'd probably not go to, personally, and are not the most expensive.
View this review on GoogleI'm very disappointed with the service. After making a few requests for information relating to a somewhat complicated legal circumstance, Alison become increasingly rude and irritable. After enquiring whether she would prefer not to represent me, her response was snippy and disrespectful, asking me to "tear up" paperwork she sent me. I understand that solicitors prefer "easy" clients, but I nevertheless find this behavior unprofessional and generally unacceptable.
