I used CDS Mayfair for the conveyancing on a recent flat sale. Meera Savania was my solicitor and she did a great job for me on a sale which had more potential complications than most. I’ve been through the conveyancing process 17 times and I can say that this was the least stressful of them all despite several issues. Meera was very responsive, calm, and I always felt she had my interests at heart rather than just wanting to get the process done. All in all I was very pleased and grateful. Would definitely recommend.
View this review on GoogleI had a very positive experience with CDS Mayfair. The team were professional, efficient, and easy to deal with throughout the process. Communication was clear and timely, and I always felt that my matter was being handled with care and attention.
Louise was particularly helpful approachable, responsive, and proactive in keeping things moving. It made what can often be a stressful process feel much more manageable.
Overall, a smooth and well-handled experience. I would happily recommend CDS Mayfair to anyone looking for a reliable and professional conveyancing service.
View this review on GoogleI had a really good experience with CDS Mayfair Law Firm. From the first time I got in touch, they were professional, friendly, and easy to deal with. They explained everything clearly and kept me updated throughout the whole process, which made things feel a lot less stressful.
Communication was always quick and straightforward, and they were happy to answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed and it was clear they genuinely cared about getting the best outcome. Everything was handled efficiently and with a high level of attention to detail.
Overall, I would definitely recommend CDS Mayfair Law Firm to anyone looking for reliable and professional legal support. A very positive experience from start to finish.
View this review on GoogleI had a very poor experience with CDS Mayfair during the purchase of my flat. Given their premium pricing, I expected a high standard of service—efficient timelines, clear communication, and, most importantly, diligent legal work. Unfortunately, they fell short across all of these areas.
The quality of the legal work was particularly concerning. Key discrepancies were missed, for example, the real estate report did not align with the actual contract, specifically on repayment clauses, which ultimately resulted in a financial loss on my side. There were also basic errors, such as incorrect pro rata service charge calculations, which I had to identify and correct myself on the day of exchange.
Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. I was repeatedly told that things were “nearly finalised,” only to later discover that work, such as the report, had not even been started. The report itself, which I was told by my solicitor required 4-5h to complete, took over two weeks to be picked up, delaying the process unnecessarily.
When I raised a formal complaint, I did not even receive an acknowledgement. Both my estate agent and the solicitor on the other side had to escalate matters multiple times, noting they had never encountered such delays in their careers.
There was also no meaningful cover in place. When my lawyer was unavailable due to sickness, the case effectively stalled, despite being told that a paralegal was involved. In reality, no one else appeared able to step in, as the paralegal told me firsthand that she was “not exactly on the case, so couldn’t pick it up”.
The overall handling of documentation was disorganised. Both my parents (for a gifted deposit) and I were asked multiple times for the same documents, suggesting poor record-keeping. Bank statements were requested on the day of exchange, I found the timing of this ridiculous as you’d expect for the lawyer to already have asked for these in advance… I was also only informed of the final completion amount on the day of exchange, leaving no time to properly prepare funds, which is particularly stressful for a first-time buyer.
Proactivity was lacking throughout. For example, although there was pressure to complete quickly, my lawyer never suggested requesting mortgage funds in advance. I had to push for this myself after it was mentioned to me by my real estate advisor. Issues such as a false fire cladding certificate were only raised at the last minute, despite being identifiable earlier in the process. I got the sense any news would be communicated to me when I would catch on to it, rather than the lawyer bringing up things as they came up if crucial to the mortgage. I felt blindsided.
Even post-completion, the experience remained poor. I was contacted over 10 months later regarding a financial discrepancy on their side, which should have been identified much sooner.
While delays can happen in property transactions, this went well beyond that. The consistent feedback from other professionals involved (real estate advisor, counterparty lawyer) was that this process was taking significantly longer than it should have.
Overall, this experience felt careless, reactive, and unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend CDS Mayfair.
View this review on GoogleMy wife and I were referred to CDS Mayfair by Foxtons, and from the very beginning, we knew we were in good hands. We genuinely haven’t regretted the decision to choose them as our lawyers for helping to buy our first home
Rahima, in particular, has been absolutely exceptional throughout the entire process. She’s shown remarkable diligence, patience, and attention to detail — even when things became quite complicated (the process lasted longer than we hoped it would, but it wouldve been even longer without CDS + Foxtons, who’ve shown versatility and ability to seek compromise). Rahima’s professionalism and persistence here were second to none, and she always took the time to jump on a call and explain every step in plain English, which made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable . We’re genuinely grateful for her hard work and calm reassurance along the way.
A special thanks as well to Lauren and the wider CDS Mayfair team for their support and responsiveness throughout. It’s rare to find a firm that combines such professionalism with a genuinely caring approach. We couldn’t recommend CDS Mayfair more highly
