We recently used Laura at Allington Hughes Solicitors for both the sale of our house and the purchase of our new-build home, and she was brilliant throughout.
Laura kept us updated every step of the way, was always quick to respond to any questions, and made what can be a stressful process feel much more straightforward. Her help and support were greatly appreciated, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing conveyancing services.
Thanks again, Laura!
View this review on GoogleTendai was my solicitor and she was amazing. She made sure I understood everything and was more then happy to go other things as many times as I needed and always was happy to answer any questions I had no matter what day or time it was. She made me feel heard and helped me get an even better result in court than I expected. Would highly recommend and will definitly be using her again if needed.
View this review on GoogleI’m very grateful for the excellent support and professionalism shown by my solicitor during my divorce.
They provided clear, practical advice throughout and kept me well informed at every stage. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and understanding approach made a difficult process much easier.
I’m very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend their services.
View this review on GoogleOur experience with this firm of solicitors was extremely disappointing. From the outset, we made it clear that our situation was urgent, our elderly parents needed to move quickly, and my mother is in the latter stages of vascular dementia. Despite this, communication from the solicitors was virtually non-existent. We had to chase them repeatedly for updates, particularly regarding search results that hadn’t been followed up for over two weeks. When we finally received information, we discovered the necessary report had simply been sitting on someone’s desk.
Further complicating matters, our assigned solicitor worked part-time and then went on holiday without any handover or work completed in her absence. When we expressed our concerns, we were told the firm was understaffed due to illness and holidays, yet this was never communicated to us when they took on our case. These unnecessary delays were especially frustrating given that there was no chain on either side; the process should have been straightforward and timely if managed proactively.
Overall, our case was poorly managed and communication was severely lacking, with no regard for the human element of our circumstances. We felt like just another file, and the stress caused by their approach made an already difficult situation even harder.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this firm to anyone. If I could I would have rated 0 stars!
View this review on GoogleI had a really good experience with my solicitor, Lesley. She clearly knew what she was doing and explained things in a way that made sense without overcomplicating it. What I liked most was how calm and straight-to-the-point she was, just focused on the facts and getting things sorted. It made the whole process feel a lot less stressful.
